Field of Love

The inspiration for this canvas came when I heard someone talk about how we need to create a field of love so strong that hate cannot get in. I really loved that.  It was around that time that my sister offered me 4 garbage bags of shredded paper.  Since I can’t ever deny cool materials, (no matter how messy they may be or what a danger they are to my vacuum cleaner :), I happily took them off of her hands.  The shredded paper reminded me of grass in a field, and I went from there creating my version of a field of love using many layers of: shredded paper, Acrylic paint, glitter, sequins, gems, and pom-poms.  The hearts were made using clothing labels, Acrylic Paint, paper and glitter.  All materials and designs wrap around the canvas.
